Template Kit from Best Kept Memories

Hello Again Everyone!

I have a very cute and versatile Template set to share with you today from Best Kept Memories. It is available at the Crafty Scraps Store. Here is the preview of the templates:

And here are some pages that I made with some of these templates and kits from Best Kept Memories.

This page was made with one of Best Kept Memories newest kits Beary Merry Christmas.

These two pages were made using the Bella Kit. I altered the template a little for the first page to make a matching two page layout that is similar but distinct.

This page was made using the Apple Blossom kits. I love the shades of colors in this kit.

And finally this page was made with the Backyard Friends kit. Not exactly a traditional winter kit, but I loved the swirls of the blue paper and the pinks to match my daughters snow suit. Hope you enjoy!

So if you like to have a little bit of help and guidance to making your layouts (or even just the added ease of using a template) you should go buy this template pack from the Crafty Scraps Store!

Crafty Scraps Challenge - Old into New

I just LOVE this last challenge that I participated in at the Crafty Scraps Forum. The challenge was to take an old layout (one that you made a while back before you had as much practice and experience digital scrapping) and remake it will your current abilities.
So, I had to search through my old layouts and choose one to redue. I actually found quite a few that I want to make some changes to but choose just one....

Here is the page that I choose to redue. Now I like this page, but I think it needed a little more to make it stand out. I also did not really know how to use shadows, embossing, layering, or resizing very well!

Here is the page redone. I really like how it turned out! What do you think? I tried to stay with the same basic color scheme and layout style.

This new page was made with Crafty Scraps kit Ginger Pink. Isn't it adorable! I just love the browns and pinks together!
Here is a preview of the full kit and the papers from the kit. It is available at the Crafty Scraps Store.

Rustic Christmas Scrap Kit - new kit from Twin Mom Scraps

Hello Everyone,

I hope that everyone is doing well. My daughter and I got some much needed out side of the house time today at a play date with some of her friends. She has been sick for about two weeks and so has been stuck in the house. She was getting sooooo stir crazy! Thank goodness for indoor play places! That way she can get out of the house and play but not be out in the cold!

Today I have a new kit from Twin Mom Scraps to show you. It is a new Christmas kit called Rustic Christmas Scrap Kit. I must say that I think it is a wonderful kit, I may be a bit biased though since my absolutely favorite color is green and this kit is FULL of lots and lots of green!

Here is a preview of the kit and the papers in the kit. You can pick it up at her store.

Awesome site I found for designers - http://www.obsidiandawn.com/

Hello,

I mentioned in a previous post that I have tried making my own paper and elements for the first time. Scary I know! Well, one of the things that made it possible for me to do this was the free shapes and brushed for PhotoShop that I got at this site: http://www.obsidiandawn.com/

I wanted to have some cool snowflakes on the paper I was gonna make but I was at a lose on where to begin. So I went to google! This was one of the sites that I found and was perfect for what I needed. She has many different designs and themes on her site that are free downloads! What a generous person!! (You do need to credit her if you use her stuff). She also has tutorials on how to use and install the brushes. Plus, if you are not a PS user she has a download that you can get with the jpeg images to make brushes in whatever program you use!!

I would definitely suggest checking out her site if you want to add something extra to your layouts, make your own papers/elements, even to print cute images for other projects!

Thanks,
Kristal

I am a CT for Crafty Scraps!!!

So I have some pretty exciting news! I have been chosen to be one of Crafty Scraps new CT members! I am super excited. She is a very sweet and generous lady. Her site was one of the first digiscrap places that I found and has been sooooo helpful. I was a newbie newbie when I found her. She not only has a TON of freebies on her blog and through her challenges at her Forum but her and her CT were so helpful and friendly with all my questions. I am excited to hopefully help others to learn now as a member of the CT.

Being a member of Crafty Scraps CT has also given me a chance to try designing.....
I was a little nervous but took the chance to help out with the HFD challenge (come back on the 15th to participate and get more details). I was not sure if I would be able to create anything! But I am pleased with the way things turned out! And thanks to some Commercial Use products it was not as difficult as I thought it would be! So come back on the 15th and check out the challenge and you can get the whole kit, including my part, for free after completing the challenge!!!

Lotto Challenge at the Crafty Scraps Forum

Hello All,

Just wanted to do one last post before I head off to bed to show a page I made today. It was for the Lotto Challenge at the Crafty Scraps Forum. It gave me a great chance to make a page about my oldest brother who is very special to me. I hope that you all enjoy this! It was made using the kit Icy Blue Christmas from Crafty Scraps which is a freebie on her blog (you will have to search for it since it is an older post).

New Page I made yesterday and Christmas Card!

I wanted to share with you a page and a card that I made yesterday. It was fun to be able to scrap! I have a picture of my daughter after she got her haircut last month that I just love so I took the chance to scrap it! Yea! She LOVED her new hair and just kept playing with it and flicking it behind her shoulder. It was so cute!
This page was made with Christin Creations kit Cuddle Time. Hope you like it!

Isabel New HairCut

The other thing I want to share is a Christmas Card that I made with a free kit from Hot Pink Pansy. The kit is called A Bit Flaky. It has lots of cute things in it! It is currently free at her blog (not sure for how long) so go check it out!

Here is my card. It is still in the rough draft version since I sent a copy to the designer to use so I did not add my own personalization yet. Plus we still need to take our pictures for cards!

Thanks for reading!
