New month = new challenges at Crafty Scraps!!

Hello Everyone!

I can not believe how quickly January has gone by! But a new month means new challenges over at the Crafty Scraps Forum! There are always a ton of great challenges and lots of freebies to be had and earned! Go check them out! While you are there check out the Brag Book Challenge that I am hosting again this month.

Crafty Scraps Challenge - Old into New

I just LOVE this last challenge that I participated in at the Crafty Scraps Forum. The challenge was to take an old layout (one that you made a while back before you had as much practice and experience digital scrapping) and remake it will your current abilities.

So, I had to search through my old layouts and choose one to redue. I actually found quite a few that I want to make some changes to but choose just one....

Here is the page that I choose to redue. Now I like this page, but I think it needed a little more to make it stand out. I also did not really know how to use shadows, embossing, layering, or resizing very well!

Here is the page redone. I really like how it turned out! What do you think? I tried to stay with the same basic color scheme and layout style.

This new page was made with Crafty Scraps kit Ginger Pink. Isn't it adorable! I just love the browns and pinks together!

HFD - Hide, Find, Design - Freebie!

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. I hope you are here for the HFD. It is my first month participating as a designer and I am very excited! If you have never done this before I have instructions on how to play below. It is super fun! You get a bunch of free peices to use in a layout and then when you post that layout you get a full mega kit for free! So easy! You should all play!

What is HFD you ask? Well HFD stands for Hide, Find and Design. Here is what you do...You start off at Michelle's blog, where she will take you to the next one, and so on...the last gal's blog will send you to Crafty Scrap's forum which is HERE....You will then get a simple set of rules telling you what to do with all the pieces you collected...You then, post your layout in that thread in the forum and whoo-hoo! Lotto Challenge at the Crafty Scraps Forum

Hello All,

Just wanted to do one last post before I head off to bed to show a page I made today. It was for the Lotto Challenge at the Crafty Scraps Forum. It gave me a great chance to make a page about my oldest brother who is very special to me. I hope that you all enjoy this! It was made using the kit Icy Blue Christmas from Crafty Scraps which is a freebie on her blog (you will have to search for it since it is an older post).

Second Set of pages - This is the Place State Park

Earlier this summer we got to go to This is the Place State Park with my mother and my sister. My daughter had a wonderful time. I have quite a few pages scrapped of this day but am still needed to do more since I took so many pictures! :)

I hope you enjoy these pages!

The Indian Village. This was a very cool part of the park. They had real descendent of the native americans that lived in Utah there to talk about their Heritage. My daughterl was also able to make a arrowhead necklace!! I used the Angels Among Us kit from CraftyScraps and the Font - For the Hundredth time.

This next stop was my daughter's Favorite! She loved pounding out designs in her little piece of leather! So cute!

This next page was one of the hardest to do for me. It was part of the Lotto Challenge at Crafty Scraps. As part of the challenge I had to do an Out of Bound Effect. I did not even know what this was before the challenge!! It took me forever! But I was happy with the end result. I could only use one picture for the challenge itself so I redid and changed a few things for the page I will actually print. I have listed them both here.

I also ended up making a second page to go along with the train page.

This page was for the Font Challenge at Crafty Scraps. You also had to make a page with Answer me this in the title. I thought it would be perfect for the Newspaper shop!

Those are the only pages that I have finished for that fun day so far!

First set of pages - Trip to Seattle

I have decided to break the pages into semi themes, at least until I run out of pages that go together and have all the misc ones left. Most of these pages are all made as parts of challenges as I am learning so they are not a whole set of events etc.

This is one of my favorite Pages! A lot of that has to do with the picture of my daughter but I think that this kit catches the colors perfectly as well! It is the Summer Kit by Crafty Scraps and was used for a Template challenge at her Forum.

This was at the Beach near Seattle. They had these cool steps that lead right into the ocean. My daughter had a great time!

Here is a page using CS kit Paris Cafe. We had a such a great time in Seattle!

Happy Friday everyone!

Sorry this was not posted earlier today like I had planned but I was not able to get it made yesterday so I had to make it this morning. I hope that you enjoy it. It is my first attempt at making word art. Please let me know if there are any issues with the download!

Theme Challenge at Crafty Scraps

Here is a fun summer page that I made from a free kit available at the Crafty Scraps Forum under the Theme Challenge. You get this great mini kit to use to make a page. Such a fun challenge and you get an adorable mini kit for free!

We had a great time at the Stake Pool Party and this was just one of the many great photos that I now need to scrap!!

Crafty Scraps Challenges - I highly recommend you participate

Hello all,

I just finished a page for a challenge over at the Crafty Scraps challenge. Every month they have some fun challenges that you earn points for free stuff as well as challenge participation prizes and/or free kits to use for the challenges. They are so much fun. This page I made for the Font Challenge this month. You download a free font and then use it on a layout and you get a free kit!! And the kit that I used to make this page was one I got for free doing the June theme challenge! Who doesn't love free stuff. Plus it is a good motivator to get you to scrap those pictures!!

Can you tell I love the forum!
